Social Dialogue Council – new project

Last week the joint expert committee of trade unions, employers organizations and the government will begin works on a project of the Act on the Social Dialogue Council. This institution is supposed to supersede the Tripartite Commission for Social and Economic Affairs.

Since June 2013 the trade unions have not been taking part in the Tripartite Commission’s sessions because the organizations have suspended their participation therein. In the trade unions’ opinion it is caused by the lack of recognition of their demands by the government.

The project provides i.e. increasing the autonomy of the Council and also a rotation in leading the Council in such a way that every party will be able to guide the Council’s works for a definite period of time. It is assumed that the project will be transferred to the Sejm even prior the summer break.
