The bill to amend the labour code soon in Parliament

On 31 March 2015 the Governmentapproved the bill to amend the labour code regarding the fixed-term employment contracts presented by Ministry of Labour and Social Policy.

The bill shall be presented in Parliament. It is the next stage of works regarding the changes to the labour code, which are pending since October 2014.

The most significant amendment regards the extension of the termination notice in the fixed-term employment contracts. The notice period in these contracts shall be the same as in the contracts concluded for an indefinite period. According to an another important amendment, the duration of the fixed-term employment contracts may not exceed 33 months.
