Social Dialogue Council – the bill already adopted by the government

On June 9, 2015, the government adopted the bill on Social Dialogue Council. We have already informed you about initial works on this project here. According to the previous findings, the Social Dialogue Council will supersede the Tripartite Commission for Social and Economic Affairs.

The most important tasks of the Council include giving opinions as to assumptions for bills and to projects of acts filed by the government in social and economic issues. What is more, each of the Council’s parties will be entitled to take a stand on any social and economic issue and call other party of the Council to take a stand on any matter which will be recognized as socially or economically important.

The representatives of employees and employers are also granted a right to adopt a resolution to apply to the Supreme Court to settle a legal issue if there are discrepancies in interpretation of the law.
