USA-EU Safe Harbor agreement used by American companies invalid

On 6th of October 2015 the Court of Justice of the European Union rendered a judgment, in which found the transatlantic agreement invalid.

Safe Harbor Framework creates exceptions where the American recipients companies have been granted to process personal data of  EU citizens, if they had agreed to meet EU standards under the Directive's on the protection of personal data.

The decision has its origins in Edward Snowden's National Security Agency leaks showed that personal data of Europeans was kept under surveillance, what would be unlawful in Europe.

All US companies processing EU citizens personal data are forced to change their privacy policy and even their principles of doing business. The companies like Facebook Inc. will have to host the all personal data exclusively within the EU countries. Theoretically from Tuesday the Inspector General for Personal Data Protection in Poland and his counterparts in all countries of the EU can anytime suspend the transfer of personal data to the USA.
