New rules on issuing employment certificate

On 1st January, 2017 new rules of releasing employment records enter into force. Upon the termination of employment an employer regardless the type of the employment contract, is obliged to immediately issue an employment certificate if he does not intend to employ this employee again within 7 days from the day of termination the previous employment contract.

In case of employment within 7 days an employer is obliged to issue an employment certificate only upon the employee request via a written or  an electronic form.

An employee may file a request at any time and as for issuing employment certificate concerning previous period of employment or all employment periods for which the employment certificate has not been issued.
