Privacy also in the workplace

On the 5th of September 2017, the Grand Chamber of European Court of Human Rights proclaimed that a dismissal without notice of an employee who was using an office messenger to a private correspondence, violated the right for privacy guaranteed in Article 8 of the European Convention of Human Rights. The case concerned the resident of Romania of whom a printout of his private correspondence was shown during the exemption. The ECHR considers this dismissal as an infringement of human rights.
