Karolina Kocembadoctor of legal sciences, attorney-at-law

Born in Bogdaniec in 1975.

She graduated with distinction from legal studies at the University of Warsaw in 1998, upon defense of her MA thesis devoted to the consent given by a duly authorized party to violate its personal interests.

Since 2002 she has been acting as an attorney-at-law at the District Bar Council in Warsaw.

In October 2004 she defended her PhD thesis addressing non-existing legal activities, written uder the supervision of prof. dr hab. Elżbieta Skowrońska-Bocian. The PhD reviewers were: prof. dr hab. Małgorzata Pyziak-Szafnicka and prof. dr hab. Marek Safjan.
From 1997 she was connected with Michał Tomczak Law Office. Since 2002 she acts as a partner and co-founder of Tomczak & Partners Law Office.

Karolina Kocemba is a renowned authority figure in many fields pertaining to commercial law. In 2001 she was a spiritus movens of the first commentary to the code of commercial partnerships and companies published by our lawyers in the Rzeczpospolita daily. She focuses, in particular, on joint stock listed companies, transactions, restructurings, financial undertakings as well as corporate disputes.

Member of numerous supervisory boards of limited liability companies.

The author of many publications, including the monograph concerning due diligence examination, issued by Lexis Nexis in 2011 and the monograph covering disclosure obligations of public limited companies, published in 2013 along with Rafał Szymański as a co-author.

Karolina Kocemba has vast experience as an academic teacher, holds workshops with attorney-at-law trainees, is a member of examination board of attorney-at-law corporation in Warsaw. In a perfect and impressive manner she delivers workshops on several domains of commercial law.

Karolina has an outstanding legal mind, convincing lecturer of law and creative organizer of a law firm.
